anxious tuesday

It began nicely, waking up and lounging this morning, just taking my time. Then reality hit.

Katie needs to finish up her kindergarten immunizations (and I'm pretty sure that's going to happen today).

Steve just left for the week. I know I can make it, especially because we've got a lot on our plate. Something every day, and I've really been doing a ton better than I had been when Steve was gone. I'm a little surprised that I feel this anxious about him leaving still. I guess that part won't change for me.

Last night we took out Tyler's mattress and put it on the floor to see how he would do without the four walls to cage him in. Lately he's been laying down in Katie's bed to go to sleep when we say prayer, and Steve thinks that means he's ready for a "big boy bed". He did great last night, he laid down and went right to sleep. It was cute, but kinda scary to see how big he was on that little crib mattress.

I'm anxious about the whole big boy bed thing because it occurred to me that he was dead tired last night. What's it going to be like when he goes to lay down for a nap today? I have a feeling it's not going to work so well. I guess we'll see.


Speaking of little boys growing up, in order to get baby's things into the same armoir in Tyler's room, I had to sort through and purge a lot (two boxes worth) of clothes that he no longer fits. I'm dying to get them out of here, but have no idea who needs little boy clothes. Help! If you need or know of someone who would like some stuff, let me know!
