friday fill-ins

A couple weeks back, Emilie did this post about Friday fill-ins. I thought it looked kinda fun and realized today is Friday! I like stream-of-conscience things, so here's mine for today:

1. Snow cones.

2. I'm looking forward to making cookies.

3. Minestrone is the best soup.

4. One of my favorite old tv shows is Friends.

5. I'm done with whiny children.

6. The most enjoyable thing around the holidays is lights, music, family, magic.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to date night with Steve, tomorrow my plans include decorating for Christmas around the house, and Sunday I want to scrapbook.

Last night Isabel had her first ever Christmas program at school. First of all, can I say how much I love this school and it's staff. They're all brilliant because K-3 performed last night, and 4-6 have their program some night next week. On top of that, each grade has their designated time, so you come when your child performs, and you get the heck out of dodge when your kid is done. LOVE THAT.

I am a little embarrassed to admit, but I got very emotional watching her last night. All the kids were very cute, singing their little hearts out and trying to remember the movements at the right time.
It was so sweet. I felt like my heart was going to burst. Having children has brought so much joy to my life. I know I can get bogged down in the day to day chores and endless taddling, but lately I have been blessed enough to focus on the little things that make my heart sing with love for each one of my children.

Listen to me. It must be the hormones.

Have a great weekend!

First of all - Isabel looks adorable in this picture with her happy little face. But I must say that while I was looking at the picture all I could focus on was the adult face right in the front. It took me a few minutres to figure out that it was a big Miley Cyrus face on that girl's shirt. Wow - what a shirt! Sorry - you'll probably never be able to look at this picture the same again. :)

That is funny! When I saw it- it's really hard to miss-I thought "how is a kid that old in kindergarten?" I had to look at it for a minute before I realized it was a nightgown featuring Hannah Montana. I think.

Ahh, kids.
