I took about 90 pictures of the normal everyday stuff yesterday. It was really fun. Doing this has shown that there really is a routine in this house, as much as it may not feel like it. I swear some days we all look like chickens running around with our heads cut off (as I type that I can hear my eighth grade history teacher Mr. Murray yell that to all of his students- I think that is where I first heard that expression. If not, that's definitely where I heard it the most).
I hope that there will be some variety this week so that I'm not taking pictures of the same exact things every day. I am sure life will come through and mix things up a bit. I feel like I may be tempting life to really change it up, so let me say this in advance: Not too much, please, life! I just want some different pictures. They do not need to involve ambulances, hospitals, or the IRS. Nothing huge or costly, please. Thank you for your cooperation.
On a total side note Isabel had to draw a picture of what she wanted to be when she grew up for homework. To go along with it, she was to write a little story of what she would do.
You can see she wrote "I want to be a mom. I will clean the laundry, dishes, and the stairs." I don't know where she gets this stuff from. Maybe she will do all the things I never have! ;)

I can't wait to see what you photograph! I've seen friends who've done a day in the life and they're great! I've been wanting to do one, maybe yours will give me the gusto to do it!:) I love Isabel's picture--it's so great what our kids come up with!:) And btw, I think you DO do all those things, I imagine your house as being as close to immaculate as a house can be!
Oh dear, sweet, naive Melissa. You are far too kind, but I would have to say to keep that picture of immaculance that you have maintained in your mind, please NEVER show up unannounced. I realize that you live almost entirely on the other side of this great nation of ours, and that it would take you some time to get here. But I also am fully aware that I would need that amount of time just to make the place look decent! But thanks for the vote of confidence!
You're too cute!:)
