Have I mentioned that I L-O-V-E the Olympics? Oh yeah, I do. Love them. Love the personal story behind the journey of each athlete. Love the Visa commercials with Morgan Freeman narrating (Jay Leno made a joke the other night about Morgan Freeman narrating his own life as it flashed before his eyes, he he). Love the rivalry. Love the adrenaline rush from a very close race. Love it.
I love the idea of overcoming doubt, injury, criticism, all the things that come flying at us to stunt our growth and keep us from achieving our personal best. I find it so inspiring. So while I may be a very competitive person, and will be screaming my heart (and lungs) out for team USA, each victory is an inspiration. Whatever we set our minds to, it is possible.
