This idea and tutorial came from Emilie; you can find it here.
I just happened to be at the bottom of a container of quick oats (much to my shock-when was the last time I made oatmeal cookies?!?). Perfect timing.
This was our "hair thing" box before. A broken tupperware shoe box w/no lid. Pretty sad, no?
I am using the innards for additional hair thing storage. Emilie said that she opted to hot glue hers shut because her children have a history of filling things up with water in the bathroom. In all honesty, mine do too (I am forever finding toys in the bathroom; it drives me nuts!) but I figured I could always glue the sucker down later if need be.
'Cause I'm slow like that.
I kept the elastics and small clipies in the ziplock bag so we won't have to blindly dig around in the bottom. The bag sits on top of all the fluffy bows and flower clips.
It's just covered with two pieces of scrapbook paper and some ribbon at the bottom. Simple. Very simple, yet so effective!
Now to go hunting for the wandering hair things all over the house...

Such a cute idea! I wonder if any of my boys would wear bows. Hmm. Adam would probably send down lightning bolts my way! :)
