out there who is happy that her kids went back to school today?
I know perhaps that may sound a little harsh or cold.
Does that make me terrible? Heartless? Nah. Totally normal in my book.
I have to admit there was a little twinge of sadness/anxiety as I walked away from my girls who were running around on the playground. I got to thinking if they only sweat it out for two minutes why should I have to all day? So there you go. I was a little nervous for two minutes. I got over it. I know they're having a great time.
I am too.
I am happy to get back into a routine, a schedule that works for everyone.
Ah, predictability.
With all the little hiccups and challenges that life has a way throwing at this wife and mother of four, I'll gladly take them on-between toddler naps-from the comfort of my glorious routine.
Oh happy day!
P.S. I tried to upload adorable pictures to sprinkle throughout the post, but it was taking way too long for just one. That is not going to fit into my schedule today.

I was sad today, but I'm pretty sure I'll be happy on day 2.
We had our Back to School dinner tonight. They thought it was a big deal because I let them have Lemonade (powdered, no less) instead of milk.
You know, it turned out that I wasn't as traumatized as I thought I would be because I, like you, thrive on simplicity, structure, and routine. And summer vacation is missing at least 2 of those things. So my friend, let us both bask in the peace and quiet of only 2 children at home all day... Until the others get home an start clawing each others eyes out. :)
P.S. I really like how you changed your title to life, love, and a whole lotta kids...that's not what it used to say. Life has changed, I guess. :)
It's nice to see you up and running again! It was very odd today with just one at home, but he didn't have to fight over toys or the T.V. time, so he was pretty happy. I did, and still do, worry about Michael being in first grade now, so that has been my only negative to this back-to-school business.
