this girl

won't let me get a decent shot of her lately.

She just won't stop moving long enough to get a crisp, clean, nice picture.


Too much energy! This kid has way too much energy.

Me? Not so much. Especially before school (which is when I took these pictures).


We had a conversation that went something like this:

I: "Mom! I know what I want to be when I grow up!"

Me: "Really? What?"

I: Opening a book on figure skating, "This! What is this when the boy is with you?"

Me: "That's called 'Ice Dancing'. Do you want to do all the jumps too?"

I: "Is there a boy with you when you do that?"

Me: "Well, yeah. In Ice Dancing you dance on the ice with a boy. In Couples Figure Skating you dance and do jumps with a boy."

I: "I like Ice Dancing. With a boy."

Me: "Alrighty then sweetie. You do that."

Anyone else catch a common denominator in that discussion? *Sigh* Maybe I should investigate a little further to find out if she already has a partner picked out or if just any boy will do at this point.

Oh how I love this kid!
