This afternoon the kids and I were in the living room cleaning up pine needles from our newly removed Christmas tree. Not true. It was removed Monday. The vacuum was clogged and I finally got around to taking it apart and putting it back together.
Yes. So we were cleaning. We have a big window that faces our front yard, and as I was busy cleaning Isabel said, "What are they doing?"
"Who?" I looked up and followed her stare to a high school couple messing around in my yard.
Don't freak out about what my kids saw. It was nothing much, and according to Melanie I can be a tad bit prudish. I did know I wanted to stop what was going on so my kids would not be exposed to any baby making processes right there on the spot.
The first thing I could think of to yell was "Get off of my grass!", which I did.
What am I, eighty? All I know is I'm going to be a great old lady sitting in her chair on the porch yelling at the people passing won't I?
We were inside with all windows and doors closed so I don't really think they could hear exactly what I said but the guy looked up. Then he focused inside. I think he was surprised to see he had an audience of six little (innocent) eyes and two big (disapproving) eyes watching. She looked up and this time we were all waving.
Needless to say, they moved on.
Not on my yard kids.
I wonder if we'll get egged tonight?

It's a good thing I'm the one making up the rules for my LOAD challenge this time around. Some family stuff has come up and I have to take care of that first as it is more important. So I will get back to scrappin' just not for the next couple of days. Later!

Loved the "old granny yelling" story. I've been accused of being called an old granny too. Adam has asked me if I want him to get me a rocking chair to be placed right by our big window that faces the front yard. Not yet...but maybe in another 30 or so years!:)
That is too funny! I would have wanted to do the same thing, but would have been too afraid of any retaliation to speak up!
that is awesome; i love the description of the eyes!
