today

There is a lot going on this week, and since I hit 30 I can only seem to think in short incomplete sentences. As a result I'll use bullet form to make it look like I know exactly what I'm doing and less like I can't finish a thought.

  • looking forward to getting together with family in Hanford this Sunday. So excited to celebrate!

  • am the proud owner of a cell phone again. I was holding out for a while-not quite sure why-but had a change of heart and Steve picked up on a very subtle hint (ie. "I think I want a cell phone with a full keyboard sweetie"). Nice. Let the calling and texting begin.

  • no texting while driving though. Thanks to Luke for the kinda gruesome but very real to life reminder in the form of this video on youtube. {You will have to verify your age to view it.}

  • Tyler is talking up a storm (I love the visual I get from this phrase). It is great to hear his little boy voice say something other than "Maaaaaa", "ball", or "moo".

  • Trying not to freak out that today is early dismissal for both girls. I have the times posted in several places so I do not forget.

  • dreading the fact that I can't put off cleaning out the fridge today. It just has to be done.

  • trying to get over some insecurities...nothing that some regular scripture study and exercise/healthy eating couldn't cure. Good thing I've got a well rounded challenge in the near future to look forward to. Thanks Sharlene!

  • feeling very fortunate that I have children who adjust to change so well. We're three days into our new school routine and there hasn't been any meltdowns or tantrums from anyone (I don't include myself in that statement).

  • excited to get some new paint on the walls in my bedroom. I feel a design in the works and am loving the process of making that room all about being a restful place for Steve and I.

  • learned how to make killer carmel popcorn last night at mutual. I am dying to get my hands on the parent's air popper so I can attempt the recipe on my own. Maybe adding lots of chocolate too...

  • working on laundry. Forever working on the laundry.

  • loving the smiles that this little girl so freely hands out now (along with large amounts of spit up).

Wait a minute!!! Your school doesn't start until 8:30??? WHAT??? How did you get so lucky, or we get so unlucky? Freedom was 8:30 until the July I moved here and then they went to 8..gotta love it! Way cute post and I love all the pictures!

Sunny, I attribute my youthful appearance to 1. the fact that I still feel like a teenager, therefore I act like a teenager and 2. MK! ;) How's that going btw? Lately I have been conceptually scrapbooking...I really need to get into the groove again. Interested? ANYONE?

Heather, last year kindergarten started at 8:10, but they moved it back to 8:20 so little ones w/older siblings (who start at 8:30)could be dropped off at the same time and not have such a gap for the parents. It's nice! Yay for smart admin! ;)
