they tell the truth

A couple weeks ago I had Jon and Kate plus eight on again (the girls now ask to watch that sometimes instead of cartoons) and Jon said something to the effect of "some days I wish I could cut my ears off."

He was obviously referring to the constant screaming, whining and bickering that occurs on a daily basis with kids. Some days you can live with it, and some days you wish you could cut your ears off and put them in a pocket.

That's when it hit me: that is exactly why I like this show.

These people tell the truth.

It is a video journal of the honest to goodness truth. As difficult and sometimes terrorizing as raising children can be, you wouldn't have it any other way.

And that is that.

.................................................

I am happy to say that I finished the LOAD challenge. I completed a layout a day in February, and am dang happy about it. Here's the last ones I didn't post last week:

Tyler getting a cookie at Grandmas
Isabel's first day of kindergarten

our day trip on amtrak last summer

cute pic of Katie at storyland

Isabel's first lost tooth

a page from that beach mini book I was putting together... last year, was it? It's still not finished. Guess that should be next on the list. There isn't that much left to do in all actuality.

Imagine my surprise when Mariana called before eight this morning to tell me that I won! I won the drawing for the grand prize ($150 worth of scrapbooking stuff). YIPPEE!!!

I plan on taking a picture of all the goodies when the package arrives.
