Lately it seems that I can't keep track of anything. I have permanently lost my cell phone...it's been so long since I've seen it, I don't even know what month I saw it last. How bad is that? I should be getting a new one this week, and that's probably just about when I'll stumble across the lost one. That's usually how it works for me at least.
So right now I can't find my camera. Not in my purse, not in the junk drawer, or the one next to it, or on top of the counter. What is really driving me nuts is the fact that MY HOUSE IS CLEAN. Why can I not find what I want? So when I remember where I set my camera down, I'll finish our fourth pictures. It was a long, fun day.
The cherry on top: Saturday I filled a cup with ice and water and set it down to tend to Tyler who was screaming. When I came back I looked around and couldn't find my glass. I casually went through the kitchen looking in the usual spots for me to set things down. (And the glass is hot pink for goodness sakes, so it's not like it's going to blend in with anything.) I asked Steve if he moved it, he denies, but I know he did...or did I just think I got a glass of water? At this point I can't differentiate between thoughts and reality. I went in circles for a couple minutes then it mysteriously appeared back in the same spot where I thought I left it. So thanks sweetie, for contributing to my early onset of dementia. Prepare yourself for outrageous costs from the assisted living center.

At least you know you're not alone! Who can remember where they put anything in the midst of tending to the needs of everyone around them, while simultaneously refereeing arguments, and yelling at their husband from the other room where the ketchup is in the fridge?!
